Saint Francis of Assisi

Francis of Assisi, (Francisco d’ Assisi) 1181-1226. Born in the town of Assisi, Italy, great mystic, is known as the patron saint of animals, because of his love for animals and all nature. Feast day is October 4th.   St. Francis of Assisi is the founder of the Order of the Franciscan Friars.  

Francis, a cheeful and joyful friar who preached in the marketplace, was born the son of a successful and wealthy merchant family. Francis grew to love the teachings of Christ and gave up family and fortune to devote his life to God and the poor.   During his pilgrimage before he had any followers, Francis would tend to those who suffered from leprosy. Francis said he would not be ordained a priest, his only mission was to lead a life of poverty and teach his brothers, the friars -  love, respect and peace toward others.  To Francis  love was the truest of all  truths,  hence his deep sense of personal responsibility towards his fellows. The love of Christ permeated the whole life and character of Francis.

Francis found happiness in offering songs and poems;  he identified with elements of the Universe and found in all created things some reflection of the Divine perfection, and loved to admire in them the beauty, power and wisdom and goodness of the creator.   During a forty day fast in preparation for Michaelmas Day, Sept 29, Francis had a vision as a result of which he received the stigmata, (wounds of Christ).  In later years, being already very ill, and in one of his last visits to St. Clare of Assisi, he composed the ”Canticle to the Sun.”

Francis always yearned to be both a knight and a troubadour (poet-singer) - to do battle for God and at the same time to amuse with a song.  Saint Francis is remembered during the month of October.  The good work of Saint Francis, his genius writings, his gentle charity and compassion, his loving heart and virtuous humility, are reminded to us through his powerful prayer:

AUTUMN, Colorful New Leaf

 The summer has turned into Autumn, and the beauty of the Fall is here.  I love how the leaves start turning to rich colors of browns, golds, reds and yellows. Just as the turning of leaves to new colors, we can also turn our life into a new colorful leaf, a new adventure. One of hope, peace, love, gratitude and harmony.   

Why wait until the winter at the end of the year to commit to things and promises that are sometimes complexities?  Let’s take time during this season to find the new autumn and beauty in our life, and be open to new changes, to see obstacles only as stepping stones to an enhanced spiritual journey. 

Know that your Angels and the Archangels are with you every step of the way, so ask the Angels to support you and start the loving journey now.  

 I hope you enjoy the beginning of Autumn and that the colorful leaf reminds you of the bountiful blessings in your life.

Decrees on Archangel Michael’s Day

Archangel Michael is a very special Archangel for all of us and we love him profoundly. Archangel Michael’s Feast Day is September 29th.  In England the entire Autumn season is known as Michaelmas, and in the Middle Ages it was the occasion of harvest fairs and associated feast. 

So as we celebrate the Prince of Light and the heavenly warrior, Archangel Michael,  let us take this time to honor and appreciate Michael and his legions of Angels of light, that throughout thousands and thousands of years has been dedicated to the security, to the perfection of our souls, to our protection. Forever taking care of us, and assisting to recognize that each one of us have an original blueprint in life, that we have a divine plan.

So delicate and so present is God’s love, that God makes it known to all of us in a personal way through his Angels and Archangels.  Michael’s name means “He who is like God”.  Because Archangel Michael is the Angel of the presence of God; the presence of God is in Michael and that is why Michael works fervently to serve and support our needs, thus serve the will of God.

As mentioned in Archangel Michael’s page (Aug 5), this heavenly warrior can help us bring light into the darkness.  The following decrees are  from the book – ‘Angels By My Side’, by Rev. Jayne H. Feldman.  This decree can be used when you feel uncomfortable or uneasy about the energy around you:

Michael’s light descend, descend, descend, Michael’s light defend, defend, defend,

Michael’s light expand, expand, expand, Michael’s light command, command, command,

Michael’s light I am, I am, I am.

You repeat the decree three times, and you visualize that Archangel Michael’s light is surrounding you from head to toes. This light immediately defends us from anything attempting to attack our energy field.

Prayer to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Sweet Heart of Mary, hear my prayer

August 15th is the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Mary has been appearing in many of my activities with the Angels, in readings and in dreams. I know she is always willing to help and protect all of us. Prayers to Mary are never left unaided.      

 Most Blessed Mother, heart of love, heart of mercy, ever listening, caring, and consoling, hear our prayer.  As your children, we implore your intercession. Receive with understanding and compassion the petitions we place before you today and every day, especially (special intention). 

We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer.

We trust to your gentle care and mediation, those whom we love, our children, our family, our friends, those who are sick or lonely or hurting.

Help all of us, Holy Mother to bear our burdens, give us joy in this life, until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever.

Archangel Michael, Prince of Light

Archangel Michael is the most powerful of the Archangels in the Christian, Jewish, and Islamic traditions. Archangel Michael or Saint Michael is referred to in the Old Testament and has been part of Christian teachings since the earliest times.  Michael works  to create a world of peace and harmony.

The name “Michael”  means ”Who is like God”.  Michael is generally shown with a sword, and sometimes wearing a golden armor. He is also the Archangel of love and the healing blue flame of protection.  Archangel Michael has many important roles, the four main roles: protection, love, guardianship and peace.

Michael  is seen as the Prince of Light, the heavenly warrior who brings the light into the darkness. Michael eliminates negativity, clearing and purifying with his sword any negativity  giving us the power to live in balance, truth and integrity. You can also ask Michael to help others always asking for that person’s highest good.

Michael’s feast day is celebrated on September 29. In the fifth century, the Romans celebrated Michael during the middle ages, this feast became extremely important as Michael is the patron saint of knights.

Archangel Michael Appearances

Joan of Arc began hearing and seeing Michael at the age of thirteen.  Michael appeared to Moses in the burning bush.  Mother Mary works closely with Archangel Michael.   Mary, in her visits to the children of Garabandal in Spain, told them they needed to change their way of life;  Saint Michael reportedly delivered a message to announce the arrival of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Michael visited the children four years later, repeating Mary’s same message. 

Early in the 8th century, Saint Michael reportedly appeared three times to St. Aubert, the bishop of  Normandy, France and instructed him to build a church on the small island now known as Mont Saint Michel. Several healings were reported when the church was being built and Mont Saint Michel still remains a pilgrimage site.

Call on Archangel Michael for Clearing

You can invoke Archangel Michael at anytime - whenever you feel any dense environment or negativity around you, call on Michael and he will be ready to help purify any negative aspect.  Before you leave your home you can also be protected by Michael’s light.  Visualize a brilliant white light surrounding you or your loved ones, and ask  Michael for protection.   Know that you always have your Guardian Angel by your side to assist you, but if you are in need of greater support you can always invoke Archangel Michael for more protection.

Almighty God, give us Grace that we may cast away the darkness and put upon us the armour of Light.  Amen.

Queen of the Angels, help me to imitate the Angels by being as eager as they are to do God’s will and to serve mankind. Let me ever consider the Angels as my best friends and protectors, who want to help me during my journey.  I am grateful especially to my Guardian Angel who acompanies me and never wearies in faithful care.  Amen.

Sphere of Light and Protection

Invoking the Archangels expands your aura and raises your vibration. Whenever you are in fear you can ask the 4 main Archangels for protection: Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael. 

Archangels work with your Angels. Imagine a sphere of white light around you, and invite the Archangels and visualize them around you. You can pray to God; and whatever you ask of the Archangels, you are praying to God. You can ask anything you like to the Archangels. What you are asking for is what you are receiving.  Your feelings are very important. 

Be open and honest. It is important to set your intention to the highest good, knowing that whatever it is you are praying for your request will be granted.

Connecting with Your Angels

When you ask your Angels to be present they provide learning and guidance.   Angels also remove any blockages or past beliefs no longer needed. You can connect with your Angels through initiating a conversation with them by asking questions. Sometimes they will answer right away.  You can simply talk to them in silence or out loud. You can visualize, and see yourself with your Angels. 

Matthew 21:22   And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Praying 

Prayer is a powerful act that assists you in experiencing sacred communication with God and affirms your  linkage to the Divine. Through your heart intention you create a loving connection between yourself and the Divine.  

Writing to your Angels

You can write to your Angels, a letter or just a note. Try to listen to their responses, pay attention to signs and symbols, they can answer through your dreams.  The Angels answers are soft, always filled with love, compasion and wisdom. They will not respond with any negativity. Their guidance is real, true and loving.

Meditating

Peaceful meditative music or guided meditation can help you connect with the Angels. Meditation is a time to reflect and receive insight. Even a short amount of time is very helpful to your energy, just sitting quietly closing your eyes, breathing and listening you can notice the benefits and many insights that occur.

Affirmations can change the old beliefs and replace with new patterns

Your Guardian Angel knows you deeply and better than anyone else.  Angels do not judge us, and only see the divine within us, they are always compassionate and their only purpose is to serve God through the help they provide to us. They support us in our life mission.

When you practice affirmations you affirm what you want and desire, and this brings your thoughts back to that love center, to God’s love:

• I am surrounded by the love of God and the Angels
• I am protected and guided by the Angels
• I am willing to receive help from the Angels
• I follow my guidance in full faith
• I am grateful for all that I have in my life
• I accept love
• I accept  love from God and the Angels
• I am willing to be happy
• I call upon God and the Angels to assist me
• I am in harmony and balance
• I am in joy and peace

Angel Reading

You receive many messages through an Angel Reading. The Angels are easily accesible when you have someone who has developed intuitive skills and the experience to provide the reading, because they can accurately convey messages as well as help you connect to your Angels.  

The Angels usually provide information on all areas of life, relationships, finances, job, health, etc., but the main information that the Angels give is usually focused on any important issues that you are going through at that time. You can give yourself a reading or you can always ask your Angels if you need guidance from an Angel intuitive through an Angel session. Remember that the Angels messages are always uplifting and compassionate reflecting the love of God.

Angels love to deliver more information through songs, a person’s comment, a book, or movies that inspire you. Some years ago, I was looking for literature on how to cope with grief. As I walked in the bookstore and while browsing, a book fell off the shelf.  I picked it up and as I was putting it back I noticed the title “Angel Therapy-Healing Messages for your Life”.  Surprised, I noticed that the cover had the same beautiful angel picture that I had just found a few days after my Mom passed away. I knew that the Angels were sending this book.

So stay aware, pay attention and try to hear what your Angels are whispering to you!
